Lullaby

Rest
Your head now
Don't fret
I'm here
If nightmares try to plague your dreams I'll teach them how to fear
And if they refuse to yield
I shall be your sword and shield
Shining knight
Here to fight
Smiting those who wish you ill

This lullaby
I sing to thee
Let it put your mind at ease
Close your eyes
Count your sheep
Soon you will be fast asleep

The sandman is calling
He whispers in your ear
The dream scape is beckoning
You shouldn't linger here
A castle in the sky
Awaits for you to close your eyes
For torpor to transport you to another life

This lullaby
I sing to thee
Let it put your mind at ease
Close your eyes
Count your sheep
Soon you will be fast asleep

Escape
From reality
It cannot bind you here
Embrace
Imagination
I promise I'll be near
These soothing sounds will take you
They'll swaddle you in downy notes
So sink into the tender tones
In slumber you shall float

This lullaby
I sing to thee
Let it put your mind at ease
Close your eyes
Count your sheep
Soon you will be fast asleep
This is a song I've been working on. I'm attempting to actually write music for it. That's proving difficult though because I only play piano and I'm rudimentary at that.

I love this one. I would love to hear the music behind it.
I play the piano as well, though I haven't had much time to practice lately.
