I want to see the ocean
I want to see the sea
I want to see a rosebud
And I want to see a tree
I want to see a mountain
Or watch the rising sun
I want to see a diamond
And watch a wild horse run
I want to gaze at far horizons
And get lost among the stars
I want to trace the paths of raindrops
And see trains and planes and cars
I want to see the leaves of autumn
And the iris of an eye
I want to watch a heat wave simmer
And find shapes in cloudy skies
But for me it is impossible
To sate my starving mind
For though I wish it were not so
The truth is I am blind
